Home    Photos    Display Info    Blow Mold Sales    4 Sale    About Us

I have been decorating for Halloween & Christmas for some years
With the purchase of a new house several years ago I finally have more room to spread out
After increasing my display in 2006 to 15,000 lights and 100+ blow molds I started thinking about going bigger
Soon my display will increase to over 70,000 lights

In early 2008 I decided to expand my own hobby by buying/selling Holiday decorations
I am carrying General Foam, Drainage & Union Blow Molds; plus inflatables

I have found it harder to find certain items in local stores
Some items are in limited quantities, which artificially inflates the prices
For those of us who create large displays, we need bulk orders of items
When a Mega tree has 4 colors & requires 10,000 lights - your local store may not carry enough lights
A few local stores that stock Blow Molds had a selection of maybe 10 items
I am stocking 44 Blow Molds for Halloween, over 100 for Christmas, and over 15 for Easter

In addition, I will offer Seasonal (Spring) Pre-Order Sales at reduced prices

Many people have questions about Christmas Displays...Here's more information

How many lights do you have? For 2007 I had approximately 15,000 lights, 200+ "blow" Molds, 28 inflatables, and 24 wire frame decorations

What is your display worth? I've been collecting lights for over 10 years, I have never kept a running total
I buy lights and decorations after Christmas on sale at 75% to 90% for the next year

How much does it cost you to run each year? In 2005 the added electric cost was around $200, 2006 was around $300
In 2007 I reduced costs due to switching to mostly LED lights & decorations

How long does it take you to put this together? I've never kept track, since I work on the setup little by little. It's hard to judge since my display has grown quite a bit in the past few years

How much power does it use, and is it safe? In 2006 the max draw was around 80a, for 2007 it was less with more LED's. I have multiple dedicated 20a circuits that are protected by GFCI (Ground-Fault Circuit-Interrupter).  If any current passes to ground (grass, wet bush, ME) the circuit trips - shutting off power.  This is the same protection used in most bathrooms & houses

Do you work on this all year long? No, I have too many other projects going to work on this all year long. But from October (Halloween Display) thru January I spend a considerable amount of time unpacking, decorating, then re-packing everything

Where do you store it, and how much room does it take up? Anywhere & everywhere I can find space.  I am building a 24' x 36' garage that will have storage areas specifically for decorations

What do the neighbors think? They think I'm crazy of course!! The neighbors are always coming down to see what I am doing next. In addition to the Halloween display & Christmas I have planted over 7,000 bulbs for Spring flowers in my garden.  Many call their friends & tell them to bring their kids over to see the house

Why do you do it? I have always enjoyed decorating around Christmas, I'm pretty much a kid at heart myself.  Since buying this house in 2003 I have been able to finally increase my decorations - since hopefully we will not be moving

How many years has this been going on? I have been decorating for over 20 years, mostly different apartments. I bought my 1st house in 1997, but with 1/10 of an acre I did not have much room

How many people see this each year? I couldn't even guess, but I would say that it is not a large number.  We did see quite a few cars driving down the street, then turning around after our house to get a better look. I would still say maybe less then 1,000 but it could be more

How do you decide what you are going to do each year? Most of what goes up is a repeat from the prior year. Each year I add items, in some cases due to what other enthusiasts have created & displayed.  I decided to animate in 2007 simply to reduce electric costs. But after watching others videos of their displays I am going into animation in a big way (delayed until 2010?)
